Rental and Payment Questions
How long is the rental agreement?
Rental agreements are month to month and automatically renew on the 1st day of each calendar month.
How much is rent each month?
This will vary based on your local Devon location and the size and number of units you decide on renting. Contact your nearest Devon facility or look at your facility’s online unit prices.
When is rent due?
Rent is due the 1st of each month with a four-day grace period. A late fee will be imposed after the close of business on the 5th of each month.
How do I pay rent?
We accept all major forms of payment including cash, check, and credit card. For convenience, you can sign up for automatic credit card payment, or pay online without having to make a trip to the facility.
Do I get a discount if I rent for a longer period?
Most Devon locations run specials and some provide an additional discount for those who pay for 11 months in advance. Speak with your Devon sales representative or view your nearest Devon facility’s web page for listed promotions.
What promotions/specials does Devon have?
Most facilities offer move-in specials to new tenants. Contact your local Devon location for more information.
What security features does Devon use?
You are the only person with access to your unit. No one, not even Devon Self Storage employees, has a key to your unit. We also maintain the property’s fencing and lighting systems to deter suspicious activity. Most Devon buildings are electronically secured by video surveillance systems and an electronic alarm system through a 24-hour dispatch center.
How can Devon help me?

What are Devon’s hours?
The business office is open from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday and 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturday. Access hours to get into the facility vary depending on your location. Most allow access from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, but some offer extended access times. Contact your local Devon location for specific times.
When can I get into the facility to access my possessions? Most facilities allow access to units from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. Many locations offer extended access beyond the normal hours. Contact your local Devon location for specific times.
Storage Unit Questions
What are the storage unit dimensions?
The unit sizes can vary depending on your nearest Devon facility, but in general we offer anything from a 5 foot by 5 foot (3×3 meters), all the way up to business-sized storage spaces of over 1000 sq. feet (100 sq. meters). Our facilities offer a wide variety of in-between sizes, too, so you only pay for the space you need.
How often can I visit my unit?
As long as your account is paid and up-to-date, you may visit your storage unit as many times as you like during the posted access hours, free of charge.
How do I know what size to get?
The size of your unit can depend on multiple factors. What do you want to store? Are you trying to store a car, boat, or RV? What does climate controlled mean?
Many of our facilities offer climate controlled unit options. This means the unit’s interior is kept at a constant temperature year round. Climate control is especially popular in areas that experience extreme temperatures or high humidity. We offer this option because even in an enclosed space, climate can drastically affect your belongings. Things like electronics, furniture, photos, antiques, and other sensitive items can be damaged by humidity and changing temperatures.
How can I reserve a storage unit?
There are a couple of ways to do this. First, you can find your nearest facility online and determine which unit you’re interested in reserving. To the right side, you’ll see buttons that say “Rent Now” or “Reserve.” Click on the option you’re interested in and fill out the accompanying form. Another option is to call or visit the facility where you’re interested in reserving a unit.
